For next weeks class I have decided to have the kids make their OWN worm farm to take home.  (insert giggles)  I have to say I hope they are not liberated the first night of their new homes.  I mean doesn't everyone have a worm farm in their closet?  I kept mine a secret for about 2 hours.  I warned the kids to not tell the hubby as I knew his ewwww response.  He came home from work and in zero seconds he was told, not only that we had some worms but their secret location.  That was weeks ago.  They are happy in their new home.  Any worms that thought about escaping were fed to the frog.  Oh ya, we have a frog but he lives in a tank in the living room.  He gets the good real estate and the worms are banished to the closet.....  
Here is your worm fact for the day.  A worm can eat it's entire weight in one day.  Amazing!!  Worm myth, you can not break them in half and they will live.  If you were to take a part of one of the ends, say a segment then yes they could survive but in HALF nope.  This cartoon was done by a friend of mine it is not a Gary Larson.
