This is what came in last night!! It is our chicken coop. Chickens you say? Yes, we have chickens on order. They ARE legal (sorta). What we found out is, that you have to have a 2 acre parcel to have them. That is where the problemo comes in. We have 2 acres but according to the tax records we only have 1. Who is going to argue with the tax people? Not me. There will only be like 10 of them. Abby and I have named them Henny, Penny, Jenny, Winnie, Minnie ........ They are due to be shipped sometime in March. The chickens will be down by the water away from each neighbor. I spent a good bit of time trying to find the exact location where Nosey Neighbor 1 would not be able to see it. There will be no rooster. The ONLY problem I think we will have is if Nosey Neighbor 1 (NN1) will be able to HEAR them. Stay tuned.
LOVE the coop! Sooo "cute". Boy I sure hope my neighbor Crystal winds up with some chickens as well....good luck with nn1. Tara

Thank you!! I think you should start a blog! I would love to see what you are doing. My Mom has backed off the poultry idea. I think maybe you should have a few girls. They are so much fun! I will have some extra so let me know!

Yes we do but the actual pen will be enclosed to keep them out. They will be locked up in the coup at night.

Not to alarm you.
Racoons are very powerful, they can also chew thru wood. They have fingers like humans. They are very persistent. They can really be a big problem. I know. I had major racoon problems.
