Strawberry fields forevah
Ok I do as much as I can to make sure my children understand the concept of where food REALLY COMES FROM, I hope it is working! We stopped today on the way home from Orlando at a strawberry field and picked strawberries. This sounds like a fun idea. The strawberries were huge, ripe, juicy and just plain perfect...well maybe. If any of you know my children you know they have certain ideas about things. I picked about 6lbs of strawberries lickety split. Matt and Abby well I think between them they may have had 7-10 TOTAL. You see apparently each strawberry has to meet a perfect criteria and so after they would pick one they would run up the rows to make sure it was ok. I tried to distance myself in hopes that the long trip might deter them
NOPE--- so let's just say, I picked and they evaluated. The obsessed over each and every dag gum strawberry. I went ahead and bought a flat because we did not have sunscreen on and I could see that to even get a quart we could be there come sundown...
When traveling (unlike my spouse) I like to take it easy..see the state parks, monuments and just stuff! I think It would be fun to take a trip on route 66?! I would even stop for the huge ball of twine or is it rubber bands???
(look at the strawberries behind me)!!!!

Quality not quantity, nothing better than the perfect strawberry.
