The Garden Grows!
I am growing over 10 types of Garlic some onions and some shallots. I am a total newbie to heirloom garlic and so I keep pulling some just to check it. I think I have about another month. I did pull some onions today to make Tomato Bisque with frozen Heirloom tomatoes from last year. YUMMYYYY
Here is my Calendulas that I grew from seed. Calendula is a gentle healing flower they use in baby balms and some soap. The plan is to infuse some olive oil and make some soap.. The surrounding green plants are Mums. They are trying to take over the world (and my garden). You can see my Rosemary is also in cahoots with the Mums...

I love this tree. It is a dwarf Japanese Maple. I made sure I fed it this Fall and Spring and it has rewarded me with some beautiful color!

It may look like a small bed of carrots to you but to me it is HAPPINESS. I took me many years to get some dag gum carrots to grow. I do not have the magic carrot touch. My brother on the other hand is like Midas Carrot or something. He gave me the tip to start them in peat pots You know the ones that grow when you put them in water? I am not a fan of peat but I tried it and it does work. I just want to be able to go to the bed and actually pull out a carrot and show my kids (not to mention the wonderful homegrown taste)!! Behind the carrots is the trellis for cukes. You can see they are babies, off to the side you can see a Morning Glory I threw in for color.

I will update more later in the season. The corn, butterbeans and okra are up!!
