Modifications/hydroproject
I finished my modifications and made myself stop. I really wanted to add a pump (bubbler) but it would ruin the simplicity of the project.
1. Painted and semi-decorated the trashcan.
2. I used a Drinking bottle (mine came from Arizona tea) I am glad it is getting some use because it tastes horrid.
3. I used silicone to seal in the bottle, so that the skeeters do not get in and use it as a breeding ground. Silicone is inert and it will not be touching the water or plant so it should not be a problem.

The artwork is beautiful. What are you going to grow in it?
They sale an indicator tape that you can put on the outside of the BBQ propane tank to tell the liquid level inside the container. I think it will also work for water.
