Chickens and Pox
Well it "looks" like Abby has the chicken pox. I know what your next question is and No she did not have the vaccine. When Abby was young the vaccine had just came out. I had researched and decided that apparently she was still at risk for getting it as in it would need to be boosted. I felt that if she could actually get it when she was young she would have almost 100% chance of resistance as an adult. One less shot at the doctor's office. She had all of her others and Matthew DID have the vaccine. It was also during the time they were speculating that vaccines and autism where linked. When she wakes this am I will be able to see if she has more red spots.
Matthew hearing us talk about such, ran jumped in my lap and whispers "You are right Momma Abby sure has been holding those chickens too much"!!!! I died laughing and then had to explain that chicken pox sickness does not come from hanging out with the chickens. Speaking of chickens... they are growing up to be such big girls. I promised a picture but I am trying to wait on my new camera and not use the lame spare..... I am amazed at how many people do not realize you do not have to have a rooster to have eggs from your hen. They just are not fertilized. Our girls should start laying in July (probably when I am in Colorado).
