We are all packed!!

I am doing some last minute stuff but basically we are all ready.  Saturday at the butt crack of dawn (as one of our step-children would say) we are leaving to Colorado.  I think I have everything but the kitchen sink packed.  It is so nice to be able to take our STUFF.
One of the places we will be going along the way is where I learned to swim.  It is called the Glenwood Hot Springs pool.  It is a real hot springs that the Indians used and camped at during the winter.   (from the site)  Our natural spring, called the Yampah spring, is located at the eastern most end of our property. It has a daily flow of 3,500,000 gallons of water, at approximately 122° F, or 51° C. The source for the Yampah spring is water percolated through fractures in the bedrock formation and into the Leadville aquifer. As this occurs the water is heated by the geothermal gradient in the area. The source of water for the spring is from south of the Colorado River in the Lookout Mountain and Grand Hogback areas. The famous gunslinger Doc Holliday died at the hotel in Glenwood, apparently he came to help his lungs.  (he died of Tuberculosis).
I hope they love it as much as I did!  THE LARGEST HOT SPRINGS IN THE WORLD

On the way back the sister wants to go to Hanging lake.  I do not know how that is going to work with driving back but we shall see.  Hiking with a 5 year old up to a lake is not my idea of fun at this point in my life.  Maybe in a few years.....
