P-Nut brittle... skating in Albany

Abby had a meet in South Ga in a small town in Albany.  The rink was very nice and it was a small meet.  Abby was nervous... but she pulled in 2 seconds and a 3rd.  She has placed in each and every meet she has skated in (uhh yes that is a Mom bragging)!
On the way home we stopped off at a Farmer's market selling fresh pecans and peanuts.  Someone told me when I first moved to the south that I should never buy boiled peanuts from a place that did not spell it p-nuts.  I guess if you can spell peanut then you can't be any good at boiling them.  Boiled peanuts are so delish with a cold coke.   I bought some p-nut brittle and some pecan brittle.   I have never seen so much cotton and peanuts.  I kept joking about all the silos that we should buy one to use in building a "reclaimed" green, recycled home.  J did not find that funny AT ALL.  He said that if we had to do that then we are REALLY in bad shape for retirement.  I laughed and opened my Natural building magazine and what was the first house made of???..... yes, strawbale with a SILO garage.    Good idea!!!-

Congratulations to Abby. You have good reasons to be a proud Mom.

I love fresh peanuts. The only place we can get fresh peanuts is in an oriental store near work. they are very good eating just boiled in water with a little salt.
    Very healthy.
