Boots and bread

I gave in, just like the little Red Hen I started baking my own bread!  I started feeling guilty (convicted) after a simple conversation at the grocery store.  The conversation went something like this:
I was trying to find the healthiest wheat bread for my family.  I apparently must of looked confused because this lady approached me.
Lady:  Whatever you do don't buy that Publix store bread.. IT WENT MOLDY In a few days.
Me... ponders that info .. nods head.
Lady:  Now this stuff (she points to some lifeless white bread) it will last for a month or so.
Me:  (horrified)  UHHHHH what the?  I was like it never entered into my brain that there could be a load of preservatives in bread!  I did go to college, heck I was in the gifted program.  My kids were breastfeed and drank organic milk feed organic food~!!!  I am feeding them bread with a bunch of chemicals in it??  Shakes head.
I start thinking about my granola, homeschool Moms who all bake their own bread.  I start thinking about them, and their wheat grinders.... NO WAY.  It is just not something I need to be doing.  I go home and research homemade bread and nutrition.... NO! NO! NO!   I do not want to know this..... I don't even eat bread.  I start asking around, polling my friends hmmmmmm 98% of them are milling grains and baking bread.  NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR.   I know from experience that homemade bread is better.  I DID NOT want to hear about nutrition.  I give up, I was convicted.  Make bread I MUST.  How can I give my kids inferior food?   They eat a bunch of bread.  sigh
I took the big leap, ordered the mill, ordered the bread machine.  I even signed up for a Coop--- buckets and buckets of organic grains to be delivered sometime in December.  While I wait I start to work on baking bread with store bought flour.  The Family is happy.  They love the bread.  sigh

So what is up with the boots?  Matthew got his first pair of cowboy boots!  He came out this morning in his pjs wearing the boots.  It makes a Mom proud.  I loved the boots and I know my Dad will too!
