Orlando cousins and friends
We arrived home last night from Orlando. Each year we travel to Florida to a meeting for the husband. I have family in Orlando and good friends near Orlando. We were fortunate to be able to see my niece's Christmas school play. She was adorable! My Mom came from Tampa and so did her other Grandma.

Here she is after! Matthew is so excited to see his cousin.

The next day we got up and went and picked Grapefruit, Oranges, limes and lemons. The weather was perfect and the Orchard was just heavenly. I kept thinking oh I could live here. RIGHT HERE in this orchard. The pumelos are a huge citrus. This is Abby inspecting one....

Matthew's highlight was the wagon and getting to pull it around (go figure)!
One of the days we went to the Orlando Science Center with our good friends the Dennisons and my sister's family. That is Abby's best friend from Miami, Kellie.

And one of my bestest friends Iris.

They had some fantastic hands on lessons on water dams, currents, cars, trees, hurricanes and earthquakes. They had a blast. I would say much more fun then they had at the "Magic Kingdom" and maybe jusssst maybe they learned something?!!!
Matthew's best buddy Joseph.

On the way home we stopped at a Pecan orchard and bought some pecans. They had 5 kinds of pecans! I was overwhelmed. I finally asked the lady why some were more expensive as the biggest prettiest ones where the cheapest?? I found out that the smaller ones were sweeter and had more oils in them. The young girl said, "it aint really goin matter if ya plan on adding sugar to em". I was like uhhhhh ok well I want to buy both kinds.
LOL

A very nice family. Orlando, a great place to spend time with good friends. You sure had a good time there.
What are you going to make? Pecan brittle or pecan pie?
