Spring cometh... FAST
I can't believe how much stuff I have to do! If I could just get the sun to get up a little earlier I could get my day going even sooner. Don't think I have not considered tilling the garden at crack of barely dawn. Speaking of tilling, I did a bunch of that today. It spanked me. I had a ton of help with brother picking up the weed bunches to give to the chickens.
My Sister has a community garden plot and I am so excited for her. I sat down tonight and planted 6 varieties of cukes. My darling brother brought some of these back from Japan and some I picked up in an Asian market in California. I am growing between 200-300 heirloom varieties of tomatoes and around 40 types of peppers.. she is going to have the best garden EVAH. My Mom and my Sister are coming up to Georgia to pick up all the plants. I have some squash, eggplant and some flowers to get her going as well
There is such a small window to do a ton of stuff in the Spring. After it is all in then you can sit back, water and enjoy... but until then ... OY IT IS SOOOO VERY crazy. Tomorrow alone I have to finish tilling, seed the carrots and radishes, spinach and more potatoes.. I LOVE THE TIME change ... (I know I am one of the crazy ones)
PS. My new running shoes Mizuno are wonderful! My shins feel so much better.
Seeds from Japan (oh gosh the Ugly garden hand syndrome has afflicted me already!)

I love growing snow peas. The peapods taste great, the leaves are nice for salad. the flowers look nice, and it fixes nitrogen and imporves soil.
