I think that the days of rain and grey are getting to me.  Today started off to be a normal day until I jerked the hose a little hard in the greenhouse and broke a pvc water line.  It is not like I have superpower or anything, I think it must of been brittle from the heat in the greenhouse.  Monsoons of water pouring out everywhere,  (Niagra Falls comes to mind)...  I start looking for the cut off, I can't find it.  I am the one who hired all the contractors for the greenhouse surely I remembered to have a cut off put in?  I was young and pregnant at the time so I have an excuse.   I run to the street to the meter shut off (note it is about a block from the house)  I can see the meter running like a clock but you need a special tool to turn off the water.  I run back to the house.  The backyard is already saturated from our daily rains and water is pouring out of the greenhouse.  I get the water company on the phone they say they will send someone right away.  NO ONE COMES.  I call again... no one comes.  I run and try to close it with something we have, no luck.  I call AGAIN and finally on the third try they send someone.  I pretty much spent the rest of the day looking at the cashier at Lowes and at Home Depot because I needed to fix it and I was not going to call a plumber.  No way, no how.  I got er done even if I almost had a nervous breakdown because I could not get the pipe cement can open.  I also want you all to know that special tool.... I am the proud owner of my own!
