Children's playhouse to Peep Palace Remodel

I have a hen house already.  I needed more space for our growing brood teee heeeee!  I kept wondering where I was going to keep the new hens we have coming along.  I noted last Spring that Walmart had this Cedar Playhouse.  I thought, WOW you could modify it a bit and make that a hen house....  I noticed that the display was still there a few weeks ago.  I asked the Garden Manager if they would sell the floor model?  What made the floor model special was that it was bolted to a frame so that children could not "play" on the display.  The entire thing is made of cedar.  The girl comes back and says "Well because it is on the frame he will DISCOUNT it 75 dollars!!"  The whole time I am smirking because I wanted it on the frame so I can make it into a new home for my new girls.  I could not of built it for the amount of $$ cedar that was in it.   I took it home and started the converstion.  I added wire to the windows.  I took off the floor and put in hardware cloth for the flooring.  I put in a ladder so they could go up into the top floor.  I added 3 cedar roosts so there will be plenty of room to sleep at night.  Changed out the hardware, built a cedar door, wired the bottom portion and made a "skirt of wire" to keep the raccoons out and staked it into the ground.  I painted it and added the door decor.
Before I get a smart comment let me mention we LIVE ON A HILL so yes it is NOT level.  I did try to level it a bit LOL but it is not going anywhere!!  I am just happy to have it done so I can get them in it.
original condition.. faded a bit. Note the slope.  VERY hard to garden on that is why I have terraced raised beds.

Me making the new cedar door.

Almost there........

AND finally painted. (yes it needs a touch up but not today)
