I would say this is the Summer of BUSY.  We have been going nonstop.  Honestly I do not feel an end in site soon.  Abby is training really hard for Nationals.  We have been schooling as normal.  I have a garden here at home and a garden at one of my rentals.   Everything is just regular summer Fun. 
Today is the 4th of July.  I was trying to wake up and have my coffee and Matthew was walking around the house singing Happy Birthday.  I was not yet awake and asked him why he was doing so.  He gave me a look and said "TODAY IS AMERICA'S BIRTHDAY"  It was one of those pat yourself on the back moments for a homeschool mom. 
We picked Blueberries and made muffins, pies, smoothies and pancakes.  We picked tomatoes... and more tomatoes and ya you get the picture.  The kids finally enjoyed some tubing on the water yesterday!
A few days ago I made a mental note that it would be nice to have 2 cats..  I have a theory about cats choosing their owners and not owners choosing their cats.  For years I have prayed for a stray to show up and "choose us"  LOL  Wellllllll my Grandma Thelma would say that I willed it on myself because yesterday it finally happened!  She/He?? a baby kitten!  Black and white with an eye infection and starved to death.  I will take her to the Vet on Monday and have started treating her eyes.  I sooo hope she does not have anything that will keep us from keeping her/him because she/he loves me and we have totally bonded.  She already told me she loves me and wants to stay despite the fact will live with Cujo #1 and Cujo#2 (aka our doberman and boxer Lilly and Daisy)
I better get moving I have tomatoes to water in BOTH gardens.....  Happy 4th everyone!
